Fabric:
The Selvedge Dia De Los Muertos Jeans are made from 12.5 oz Japanese selvedge denim, inspired by Mexico’s vibrant Day of the Dead tradition.
Woven in Okayama, Japan, on vintage shuttle looms, the fabric uses short, slubby rope-dyed yarns to create a textured surface that will develop striking, high-contrast vertical fades over time.
Crafted from 100% Mexican upland cotton, the jeans pay tribute to their roots with a multicolored selvedge ID inspired by traditional Mexican sarape blankets.
Additional details include contrast stitching, silver-tone hardware, and vegetable-tanned leather patches and pocket labels featuring original artwork by Mexican tattoo artist José Ruiz (aka Koopa).
His illustration depicts a skeleton guided to the underworld by a Xoloitzcuintli, the sacred hairless Mexican dog believed to accompany souls on their journey to the afterlife.
Fit:
The Weird Guy is Naked & Famous Denim’s modern take on a slim-straight jean.
Designed with a medium rise, a comfortable seat and thigh, and a gentle taper from the knee down, it strikes the perfect balance between slim and straight.
The result is a versatile silhouette that works across a wide range of body types and styles.
Neither too skinny nor too relaxed, the Weird Guy is an easy everyday fit—sharp enough to dress up with boots or a jacket, but casual enough for sneakers and a tee.
The Weird Guy is Naked & Famous's quintessential tapered jean—comfortable, fashionable, and remarkably adaptable. Whether you're diving into raw denim for the first time or upgrading from relaxed cuts, it's a safe and stylish bet.
