The B-02 STRAIGHT takes inspiration from the classic straight-leg silhouette of the 1940s, reimagined with a modernized top block.

This updated fit brings the jeans closer to a contemporary style while retaining its vintage roots.

With a high rise and a roomy cut, the B-02 STRAIGHT provides ample space throughout, allowing for enhanced comfort and movement in the top block.

Fabric:

BDD's 14 oz. Forties Era Selvedge is a richly textured denim inspired by original 1940s fabrics, replicated in both its indigo tone and traditional construction.

Like most denim from that period, the material is unsanforized, which typically leads to as much as 10% shrinkage after the first wash.

To eliminate any sizing guesswork, Benzak pre-washed the garments at the factory and adjusted the patterns so they reach their intended measurements after that initial shrink.

 You can simply choose your regular size without worrying about further changes.

In its raw state, the fabric weighs about 12 oz. per square yard, but once washed, the shrinkage tightens the fibers, increasing the density to 14 oz. per square yard.

This tighter weave gives the denim a firm, structured hand—even post-wash. Our 14 oz. Forties Era Selvedge is woven exclusively by Collect Mills in Japan.

This garment is made from unsanforized denim, but has been pre-washed at the factory to eliminate any shrinkage.

As a result of this treatment, a natural leg twist may appear. This subtle, vintage-inspired detail is inherent to the fabric and is not considered a defect.

100% cotton, woven in Japan from middleweight, 14oz selvedge denim, providing unmatched durability and texture.

This model features a regular straight cut for comfort and flexibility, with carefully placed vintage-style rivets and selvedge detailing along the coin pocket.

Additional design choices, such as hidden rivets and a fifth pocket, enhance functionality without sacrificing aesthetics.

Care:

To preserve the denim’s character and encourage natural fading, wash sparingly, ideally only after extended wear. Hand wash or machine wash inside out on cold when necessary, and hang dry.
